THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE YOU BOOK
Cancellation:
We offer up to 100% of your booking value back, depending on how much notice you give us:

100% refund when cancelled at least 3 days before your pickup date,
-
50% refund when cancelled 1-2 days before your pickup date,
-
If you cancel the day of vehicle pickup, you will be liable for the full booking amount.
Please note this policy applies regardless of the payment option selected
Fuel:
Fuel is not included in your hire. The vehicle must be filled to the same level of fuel it had at pickup.
Credit/Debit Card:
A valid credit or debit card IN THE NAME OF THE HIRER needs to be provided at the time of pickup.
Security Bond:
Where Risky Business or Baseline Insurance Cover is selected, we require a security bond of $2,000 / $500 respectively. This bond is held via a pre-authorisation on a valid credit/debit card IN THE NAME OF THE HIRER. If Go Smarter Cover is selected, no security bond is required.
Early Returns & Extensions:
We do not offer refunds for early vehicle returns. Extensions to your hire are subject to vehicle availability, and the extension will be at the daily rate at the time of the extension.
Parking:
Unfortunately, we do not provide customer parking during your hire.
Additional Fees/Charges:
Please be aware the following additional charges may apply on/after vehicle return:

Infringement Processing Fee - $50 per infringement (includes speeding/parking tickets, road tolls not paid etc)

Cleaning Fee - $200 if the vehicle is not returned in a tidy manner

Smoking Fee - $200 if the vehicle has been smoked in/around during the hire period
-
Refueling Fee - $25 (+ the cost of fuel) if the vehicle is returned with less fuel.

KEY INSURANCE INFO
What is an excess?
This is the amount that will be charged in the event of any damage to the vehicle. If the cost of the damage to the vehicle turns out to be lower than the excess amount, you will be refunded the difference once your insurance claim has been processed.
What is a bond?
This is a security deposit taken when you pick up the vehicle. A valid credit or debit card in the name of the main Hirer needs to be provided. When Risky Business or Baseline is selected a NZ$500 security bond of NZ$2000 or NZ$500 respectively is required for vehicles and is refundable on completion of the hire. The bond is held via a pre-authorisation on the card provided. If Go Smarter cover is selected, no bond is required.
What are the key insurance exclusions?
The below list only includes key exclusions – a full list of our insurance exclusions and inclusions can be found in our terms & conditions

Damage to the vehicles roof, underbody, overbody or sustained above the windscreen / cab heights on vans or minibuses;

Damage caused by unauthorised drivers

Damage due to willful, reckless or dangerous behaviour

Damage caused by through driving the vehicle on any beach or unformed road

Damage caused by submerging the vehicle in water

Incorrect filling of fuel tanks
What if I have my own insurance?
If you have insurance provided through your personal insurance or credit card, this typically means that if there was an accident you would be able to claim the excess we would charge you back under your third party policy. Please note, this does mean we still need to hold a security bond, and we would still process an excess charge in the event of an accident (unless Go Smarter cover is selected in addition to your third party insurance).

SELF SERVICE PICK UP
The selected pick up time is outside of our Queenstown business hours (8am & 5pm) - vehicle collection outside these hours is self service. This means:
We do not offer a airport shuttle service - you must make your own way to the depot
You will collect your keys via an unmanned lockbox kiosk.
You must be contactable on the day of your vehicle collection via email (so we can send you your lockbox code)
